Document how you lawfully acquired the investment funds and every transfer to the EB-5 investment. A bank balance alone is not sufficient evidence.
Start with a chronology
Set out the underlying economic event: salary, dividends, a business sale, a property sale, a gift or another lawful source. Identify the documents that explain ownership, acquisition and receipt of the money. Reconcile the amounts with relevant tax and banking records.
Trace the transfers
Map every material account, currency conversion and intermediary. A gap between sale proceeds and the investment account can create questions even when the underlying sale was lawful. We coordinate the evidence preparation; one of our recommended attorneys reviews third-party transfers and any missing records before filing.
Give gifts and loans their own evidence
A gift agreement alone may not establish the donor’s lawful source. A loan needs a review of the lender, terms, source and structure. Do not assume that using a different account or borrowing temporarily solves an evidence problem.
Prepare securely
Begin with a high-level description at the first consultation. Agree a secure channel before providing passports, tax filings or bank statements. This website’s initial enquiry form does not ask for those records.
